What Customers Say About Linksys by Cisco KVM2KIT ProConnect Integrated KVM 2-Port Switch:

This port switch was easy to install and easier than I thought to use. Now I only use one monitor and one keyboard for 2 computers. Just hit the scroll button and switch back and forth.
I have been using this Linksys KVM switch for about 4 years now. All functions work well and it switches easily and consistently with a double keystroke (scroll lock). It has outlasted one HP computer and functions well switching my home office equipment between my work laptop (HP) and my personal laptop (Sony) and is attached to ports on two docking stations. I use a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse and a 22 inch LED monitor. If you're using a newer port replicator/docking station or computer without PS2 ports, you'll need USB adaptors for this item or if your keyboard and mouse are USB, this isn't the switch for you (unless you buy or have adaptors which are very cheap). There are similar KVM switches that are designed to work with USB, so this is likely the better bet in this instance.
I tried this to switch between a thin client (embedded XP) and workstation. The monitor switched fine but the keyboard and mouse stopped responding. Will try a USB based KVM next.
This is a great product that solved my problem of networking 2 computers using one monitor, keyboard and mouse. With a double click of the Scroll Lock key I can now move from one computer to another.
Very easy to install and use. I'm using it since a month now, and it's performing great. I can switch between my Windows and Linux boxes while waiting for a job to complete on the other machine. My productivity is greatly increased.I certainly recommend it.
